    Job Description:

    Position available for 1st shift Assembly Tech for an aerospace company. This is a full-time, 1st shift position. 1-2 years of experience is preferred but we are willing to train applicants with the right ambition and work ethic.

    Responsibilities:

    • READ AND UNDERSTAND BILL OF MATERIALS AND BLUEPRINTS
    • GATHER NECESSARY PARTS, SUBASSEMBLIES, TOOLS, AND MATERIALS
    • POSITION AND SECURE COMPONENTS PER PRINT LOCATIONS

    C.E. Machine is currently hiring for CNC Lathe Operators.  These openings are for multiple shifts including 1st & 2nd shift weekdays and 1st and 2nd shift weekends. We are looking for applicants with superior work ethic, a positive attitude, and strong technical aptitude who wants to be part of our dynamic team.

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up and operating lathe machines to fabricate parts and components while maintaining quality and safety standards.
    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    • Set up, adjust, and operate basic machine tools and/or advanced variation tools to ensure precision machining operations.
    • Apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout and machining procedures to produce quality precision parts.
    • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to produce parts, determine dimensions and tolerances as needed.
    • Oversee machine operation and make necessary adjustments to produce product.
    • Monitor and verify parts to ensure conformance to engineer drawings and quality standards.

    • Work with others in areas of inventory control.
    • Receive, inspect, verify, process, and route all materials into the facility.

    Responsible for operating a variety of power & hand tools in addition to standard deburr equipment to remove burrs, nicks, scratches, rough and sharp edges from sheet metal parts.

    POSITION SUMMARY
    Responsible for computing job cost of product manufacturing by identifying labor, material, and time requirements by reviewing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
    • Develop cost estimates based on a manufacturing plan that will produce product in the most economical manner including material requirements, labor, and job routing.
    • Analyze design process and quality requirements to accurately determine manufacturing methods.
    • Create Bill of Material (BOM) listing.
    • Interface with Suppliers/Purchasing for all outsourced pricing.
    • Maintain quote files.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
    • Minimum 5 years recent cost estimating experience with a strong machining background preferably in aerospace manufacturing environment.
    • Must be able to operate computer and have in depth knowledge of capabilities/limitations of aerospace environment and CNC machining equipment.
    • Must be able to interpret engineering/tool designs and understand the use/application of learning curves to obtain labor hours for quantity quoted.
    • Ability to read and interpret aerospace engineering drawings, customer specifications and instructions.
    • Strong time management skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
    • Ability to work under pressure, handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, initiative, and good judgement in dealing with incoming projects as well as adapting to changing product parameters and customer requirements.
